art work Record art sale.

This must be a record!!! This was sold within 12 hours after adding to the web site. Most of the time, I sell them locally first( or some times both), but most galleries don't want you to have them for sale some where else.  I have been trying to get some up on site, but I have been  selling them pretty fast(Thats good news!) :)

Cell Phone God! The new High-tech GOD

I saw the other day on CNN, that Now you can call god and talk to him on your cell phone For only 9.95 a month.  You can speak the high-teach god!!  YES!!! you too can speak to god day or night. No more bad weather, missing or not hearing replys or bad lines. Long Distance  charges may apply.  You can call god and speak to him person to person(or spirit) day or night!!  But if you hear a reply and you don't have a cell phone on, be very worried!!  Maybe you should stay away from the holy wine for awhile or just get off the acid!!

Is this going a Little to far, I am a Catholic and very much a believer. But trying to make money off this??   I s right or wrong?  Is it just wrong or someone trying to make money off others?  What ever god or name for god you believe in, you should not try to make a fast buck off it!  Now I am not one to go around carrying a bible or rolling on the ground.  I don't attend Church on Sunday and I don't quot the bible (most likely I break most of the rules), but I do believe in the spirit and in noway I am not making fun of god. I do think this story is funny, and how some people try to make money off stuff like this. What do you think??

NOTE: in the movie "The door's" that came out in 1990's.  The group members went to New York City for a show and went to an Andy Warhol party. Jim was brought to see Andy and Andy had this gold phone, that someone told him that he could talk to god on it. He passed it to Jim telling him he too and speak to god on this phone.  After the party walking down the street Jim gave it to this homless person sitting on the side walk.  Was this some  new thing that Andy had in the 1960's or just a bad Acid trip LOL.  I think it was bad acid trips or to many.

Venus in Furs Velvet Undrgound

In the 60 and 70's there where Music with filling and meaning. Such artist as The Beatles(1966 on word), Pink Floyd, the Doors and Velvet underground, that broke the mold and stead out of the box with there music. The pop rock culture music was in full bloom and music and poetry came together " Even-thou such type of work was present in the 1950's with the beatnicksunderground in coffee house)  Velvet underground was just one such group(s) that was out of the box and in Art Culture Pop. These lyrics are very  much poetry and meaning be hide them(scoured but they are there) Can you find the deep meaning of them?  Let me know in comment.

 Audio Example

Venus In Furs (velvet undergound)

Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girl child in the dark
Comes in bells, your servant, don't forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart
Downy sins of streetlight fancies
Chase the costumes she shall wear
Ermine furs adorn the imperious
Severin, Severin awaits you there
I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears
Kiss the boot of shiny, shiny leather
Shiny leather in the dark
Tongue of thongs, the belt that does await you
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart
Severin, Severin, speak so slightly
Severin, down on your bended knee
Taste the whip, in love not given lightly
Taste the whip, now plead for me
I am tired, I am weary
I could sleep for a thousand years
A thousand dreams that would awake me
Different colors made of tears
Shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather
Whiplash girlchild in the dark
Severin, your servant comes in bells, please don't forsake him
Strike, dear mistress, and cure his heart

Here is one  that  I remember when it came in 1975 out by Jethro.   He said he wrote it when  he was depress and very down!!!  LOL you never cold tell by the first versus" Sitting on a park bench  eyeing little girls with bad intent. Snot running down his nose  greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes. Drying in the cold sun  Watching as the frilly panties run.  Feeling like a dead duck spitting out pieces of his broken luck."  Depress or  A bad hair day. I guess we all feel that way! Anyway I do think this was one of the class songs and it was a big hit then. The poetry was great and the feeling of it.  Some others are that are  great music poetry are  The doors, Bob Dylan just to name a few.  Here the who song, and as always drop me a coment and let me know what you think.

 Aqualung

Sitting on a park bench
eyeing little girls with bad intent.
Snot running down his nose
greasy fingers smearing shabby clothes.
Drying in the cold sun
Watching as the frilly panties run.
Feeling like a dead duck
spitting out pieces of his broken luck.

Sun streaking cold
an old man wandering lonely.
Taking time
the only way he knows.
Leg hurting bad,
as he bends to pick a dog-end
he goes down to the bog
and warms his feet.

Feeling alone
the army's up the rode
salvation à la mode and
a cup of tea.
Aqualung my friend
don't start away uneasy
you poor old sod, you see, it's only me.
Do you still remember
December's foggy freeze
when the ice that
clings on to your beard is
screaming agony.
And you snatch your rattling last breaths
with deep-sea-diver sounds,
and the flowers bloom like
madness in the spring.
