Coffee more then a drink... It's a work of art!!

As I was researching art forms on line,  I came-across an Art history page of Asian art then a article of Thai Modern Art. The art form of painting with coffee.  You use watercolor paper, coffee, water(I would say mix it with hot water) and a brush   www.asia-art.net/coffee_painting.html   It peek my interest very much!  Any one who knows me,  knows  how much a coffee addict I am.  I have a cup of coffee with me most of the time or not that far off from it.  I'm going to try this and see how it goes.  Just for fun and to see what I get!!   Take a look at the link and see what I mean.  You get an Old painting look and it really nice look to it. Also for more Asian art and history of it check this out:   www.asia-art.net/history.html

Over 80,000 served! A Mild stone in bloging.

Since I started this blog, I found it a challenge.  I've written now for two years and it came a long way since those early days.  We always tried to find new topics for each post.  It's been and  a challenge to have people comment and madding at times.  At times I ranted and raved about no comments, But that is how it is in the Blog game!  I have some strike against me, I am not a pretty female between 14 and 25( I think you notice that)  But, Its been enjoyable two years writing this blog. I've bitched how Tblog and how it works, but that's how coding and scripts work( some times yes some times no)

To day, I've hit my eighty thousand viewers on this blog.  from  June 2004 to Jan 2006 I had 36,500 visited. from Jan 2006 to now 43,500 visited.  This makes me happy and now I hope to try to get more comments on the blog.  Maybe I am just boring or just don't write or talk about the right things?  I do visit other blog and comment, but still not that much comments!   I think what I said before is the reason why.  Maybe I should just write for me and don't worry if any one comments or not.  That way, it would save me from banging my head against the wall over it. I will progress in my writing and maybe things will look up in the next two years.

The 80,000 served comes form the old McDonald's sign.  For those of us who remember the McDonald's in the early days in the 60's; the Slanted white and red checked front of the building. Then we use to be able to get a hamburger, fries and a coke for $1.00.  15- cent hamburgers, 19-cent cheeseburgers, 20-cent milkshakes and 10- cent sodas and orders of fries.

Well that's it for now!!   I hope to continue to blog for many years to come.

Hands, art and quick update.

I went to my doctor last week for my hands and he put me on Methylprednisolone(try to say that one 3 times fast)  It is working!!   My hands feel a lot better and it's clearing up nicely.

I been really enjoying the book.  I tend to read slow to really get it and don't miss anything.  I don't like to read fast like I had to do in collage some times.

I am looking forward get my new book"Painting Tips form the masters"  It is well recommend read in the art world.  It's  more about painting styles, composition and layouts.

I remember when I was in collage and in art class, the professor always brought in a bunch of wine bottles.  Every class he brought in more and different bottles into class.  The joke was that Professor Blake had a good old time last night and  he must  of had a young model came in to sit for him!  I remember when it  came to the subject of  the Old Masters of art we joked and called them the Old bastards(You know those days, and in collage)  Any way, that's my up date for now.  My hands are healing well and soon I can go back and work again and paint again(Can't wait).

Eczema server breakout

I ended up at the hospital with my hands all broken out and bleeding. I had eczema since I was 15(I won't say how many years that was been ago:)) But since I worked out in the yard three days ago, this is had a bad attack ever!! So now I am not able to do that much at all. No painting, solvents or garden stuff for a while. Even when I use gloves my hands sweat and it make them itch and burn. My heads are all stiff and even now its hard to type; even painful to type right now but not much I can do about that. They are all red, itchy and some places raw to the bleed. the doctor gave me some cream and have to wait for for a week or two. This happen when I work out in the garden. I had had many breakouts before but nothing like this. So that's my update for now I will try to keep you posted when I can.

The Davinci Code my thoughts on novel so far.

I've started The Davinci Code and So far it is an excellent novel. The story line and writing is very well written. I have heard and read that some People thought of it as very up setting and/or boring,So-far I haven't found that the case. religion groups found it as insulting to there religion; only if take it as fire and stone and religion or the bible as such. We do know that there is thaws in the bible and the stories in it. I haven't seen that in the novel. I have been enjoying the story and the novel. I've been brought up Catholic and didn't find it insulting to my faith at all. No Lighten bolt hasn't struck me or I haven't fallen to the vowels of the earth(yet) So far on what I have read, I've have given it an 8 out of 10 on books to read.
