I’ve been really working on my art work these days and don’t have that much time to Blog or work on any pages. I have two shows coming up in February and trying to have some new art to show. I am still showing in Rock Port and not sure where it will be shown afterwards.

I’ve been reading a great naval -The Falls written by Carla Neggers. It’s a great story and been enjoying it very much. The classification for her Navels is romance but it has a mystery and action in it and that is what I like about them. They always have The FBI, cops and/or military person in the story. I’ve spoking to her on her Blog and it keeps us informed on what is new and what’s coming up.

Some of my favorites in literature are Jack London, Tomas Wolfe, Hemingway, and some others that are more modern writers like Dan Brown and Carla Neggers. There is nothing like Reading a good book on a cold winter day or any time of the year really. A good classic is always a good choice or a writer that you enjoy. There’s one that comes to mind that I always enjoyed is called -The greatest Hunt that is one that is a classic and a great one to read. What makes a great writer like Hemingway and the others that I mentioned? A talent and insight to put into wards, and compostions that build a story. There are not to many like the Hemingway and Jack London and those like the old masters of art is a great gift to us.

Here is a video of the great classic, which I remember as a Teenager. Oh, Yes the great 1970's! Drive inn Movies of 1970's as a Teenager. I miss going to the drive inns and we did go a lot. As a kid going with my parents in the 1960's. With our Pop corn and pillows. That's the great thing about the drive inns, the big screen and the sound form the speakers that you hook onto the car. Some of the movies I first seen in the drive inns: Bambe -as a very young age of course -Dawn of the dead, Planet of the Apes and many others that for some reason are just a blur *Grin* :) I could go on and on with this list. Do you remember A&W drive inn restaurants? With the Root beer floats and the great Hot dogs and Hamburgers? Ok so now I did my writing and got is all out and I feel better now. Here is the video.

If you can't understand the lyrics here they are:

Lryics to Night Moves -Bob Seger.

I was a little too tall Could've used a few pounds Tight pants points hardly reknown She was a black haired beauty with big dark eyes And points all her own sitting way up high Way up firm and high

Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy Workin' on mysteries without any clues Workin' on our night moves Trying' to make some front page drive-in news Workin' on our night moves in the summertime In the sweet summertime

We weren't in love oh no far from it We weren't searching for some pie in the sky summit We were just young and restless and bored Living by the sword And we'd steal away every chance we could To the backroom, the alley, the trusty woods I used her she used me But neither one cared We were getting our share

Workin' on our night moves Trying to lose the awkward teenage blues Workin' on our night moves In the summertime (Sweet summertime, summertime) And oh the wonder Felt the lightning And we waited on the thunder Waited on the thunder

I woke last night to the sound of thunder How far off I sat and wondered Started humming a song from 1962 Ain't it funny how the night moves When you just don't seem to have as much to lose Strange how the night moves With autumn closing

Oh yes!! Good old days drive inns and being a free teenager in the great 1970's!

 Appalachian dreams
I have been dreaming of being out on the Appalachian trail, sleeping in a tent and sitting next to the fire.  I love Appalachian and seeing all the wilderness and being out there.  I think I've have Cabin sickness.  There's nothing like sleeping in a lean-to and waking up in the open air.  There is only 3 months to go before I am able to do this.   For  now, it's cross country skiing and snow showing that is fun also.  Maine is the place to do this. there's a lot of open country up here.

Person next door Rant

We came home and the person next door had her car was right in the middle of the drive way -she doesn't even live here just a girl friend.  We hunk and hunk and we finally rang there door bell.  Still none showed!!  Then she came out screaming and yelling at us like a dog foaming at the mouth.  She said, she only been there for two minuets but we were there for five minuets and who knows how long before that she been parked there in the middle of the driveway...  She said he is sick and had to help him up and give him his meds.  This been happening for a long time and she was parked there over night before.  She Finally told us we could go F%^&  our selfs and I helled back same to you and some other things also.  I know , I'd should have been bigger then her and smarter then her but I just blown up and yelled at the end.  we did call the landlord and she lied and she ask to wait but that was not the case.  That's My person next door rant.  Everyone wanted me to post.  there are just a ignorant, low class , common type that they just do what they want and they think they own the place. To Hell with ever one!!! what ever other r names you can come up with for people like these two.  Well that's it for  now that my rant. I don't like putting this type of stuff up but I thought, it might be good to post it and get it out :) I feel better now and I will pergess now.

There's a rule in bloging,  if you don't have much to say just don't post for the heck of it.   I will try to post as often as I can.

This is the new Camera that I receive for Christmas. it's a DXG USA 518 5 Mega pixel Digital Camera

My New Camera

They came a long way since my 3 Mega pixels old camera. This one has video with sound and  picture mode has all the  different settings for different type of pictures ( they are party setting, fire works, night settings-for taking sky or moon shots- they have for taking pictures for people close  up and one for people far away, bright sun light and others for mountains and reduce red eye and more) I am still trying to get use to it and all the settings. Now they have video with sound and I will be getting an 2GB Sand Disk to have more memory.

This is a nice camera and all the other gifts are very nice also, the coffee pot, Eclectic tooth brush and the DVD, DA Vinci code and it was a good movie- but the book was better.  Well, that is it for now, just wanted to show you this.

Here we are 2007

Here we are!!!  now it's 2007 and it's hard to believe that we are already 2007. I guess I am still stuck in the 70's lol GROOVY and far out you DIG?   Any way, I hope all of you out there had a good night and didn't drink to much. I had a few drinks and watch the Times  Square party on CNN. I hope everyone had a good night and was safe and didn't get  to big of hang over.

An On line friend and of mine and I where&nbs p;talking about the years going by and how it change. This got me thinking  about back in the good old days of the 1970's. Yes disco, long hairs and bell  bottoms and we felt so free back then.  I think back of those days and smile at the memories of those days, and this one story always makes me laugh still to Day.

on  Saturday nights, we use to go cruising just for the hell of it -back then that was a big thing and taking a  date to the drive inn. -You remember those??- my friend Curt Steward form my High school was my friend and partner in crime back then, I was living in New Jersey and we where in Bound brook about 9 Pm.  My car at the time was a 1970 Country squire -my first car.

My first car  1977 was a 1970 Ford Country Ford-  the car looked like this.

We just come from  the Diner in Somerville and headed to Bound Brook.  We where in Bound Brook  and had a light.  As we sat there waiting it to turn,  these two girls in the next line stop and where waiting for the light also.  Curt looked and said " whats up Hun"  and she turned around and gave him the finger.  If you could see his face it was the biggest insert of all time. Curt has so broken up about it. I was laughing so hard with tears in my eyes,  that I had to stop  the car until I could stop laughing so hard.  He was so peeved at me for laughing and he didn't see no humor in it at all.  There are so many  stories like that but I can't tell them on line :) Remember the good old drive inn?  *wink wink*  Those where the days.  looking back and remembering those Days is  great -I don't think I want to go back and be a teen again thou.  That car was a work horse and built  like a tank, it could take a beating and  and roomy.  Remember when Gas was 55 cents a gallon? -hard to believe now.   Remember going to discos, Long hair, Bell bottoms and the way we spoke?  Well this is now and we have so much more then we had  in 1970's;  We came a long way since then, but it's always fun remembering the good old days isn't it?
