is spring in the air? Art, art and more art!

With the show a-pound us, I've been working and getting ready for the up coming shows.  I been having a lot of problems with my hands breaking out,  so I'll be holding off  on any further painting for a few days.  I will be painting some of the Bob Ross paintings  and entering them in the upcoming shows. He works on what is called wet on wet painting method, that way,  don't  wait for the last layer to dry before you do the next layer.  I enjoy his work and his method of painting.  You do that met hard, when you work on site  or what is called  Plain air painting (French for "open air") OK now I will get off my soap box and progress.

I am still looking for the right microphone for recording classical guitar. I thought of sound  a hole microphone pickup type, but it tends to sound more electric.  It has to be just the right DB and gain and pickup sound to have the right sound for nylon classical guitar string.   If you have any information on this, Please Email me.  I hope to have some short cuts online and on this blog.

We have been experiencing winter like weather with high winds and snow still; even though, this is April and the start of spring or so they say it is, So that is it really!  I hope to start going out hiking and other outside activities soon.  IF you a member drop me a comment and let me know what you think and how you been.  Due to these little spamers and they don't have a life. I have to have comments to members only again. sad people who do stuff like that.

I have to say something about the shooting in VA.  Its a sad day and thing to have such things happen in schools.  Sick people who snap there core and do such things.  I give all the best to the families of the  32 kids who was killed and the others who was wounded.  Also and not to forget,  the people who died in the floods on the Solomon Islands.  All the best to those also.

Spring on the way??

Well here we are in April, and last night we had snow falling and winter weather.   Seems all it does in this state is snow.   I am hooked on that radios station and the Show Breakfast Club.    That is on from 5:30PM to 10:00PM EST.   So as I paint, sketch  or reading,  I  list to the show on the Internet.

This month the new  Juried show is going to start Here in Maine.   I had some great comments in the Pre-juried showing:

"Whimsical and clear idea and execution, colors and image are appealing."
"I like the colors and rhythm. Great Subtle textures and striking unity of composition."

So I hope to do well in the Juried show( you never know what the judges will vote for and pick for the top!!"    I will do an Update on this post, To give you the details of the show.

I am hoping to have up soon, my Media Menu on the right side of this page. this is going to have all my videos, how to art videos and a lot more. Just keep checking and see if it's up yet.

LD called last night and we had a great chat.   It's always nice to hear her voice and talk with her so far away.  I known her from way back when I was 15 and Got her name for a pen pal form the show "Big blue marble" and we been written and talking ever since now for 32 years (except for a few years we last contact)   So its a spacial thing to hear her voice and to let each-other know whats going on with each-others life's. Well thats it for now. and keep checking for the Media Menu.
