Here we are 2007

Here we are!!!  now it's 2007 and it's hard to believe that we are already 2007. I guess I am still stuck in the 70's lol GROOVY and far out you DIG?   Any way, I hope all of you out there had a good night and didn't drink to much. I had a few drinks and watch the Times  Square party on CNN. I hope everyone had a good night and was safe and didn't get  to big of hang over. 

 An On line friend and of mine and I where&nbs p;talking about the years going by and how it change. This got me thinking  about back in the good old days of the 1970's. Yes disco, long hairs and bell  bottoms and we felt so free back then.  I think back of those days and smile at the memories of those days, and this one story always makes me laugh still to Day.

on  Saturday nights, we use to go cruising just for the hell of it -back then that was a big thing and taking a  date to the drive inn. -You remember those??- my friend Curt Steward form my High school was my friend and partner in crime back then, I was living in New Jersey and we where in Bound brook about 9 Pm.  My car at the time was a 1970 Country squire -my first car.  


My first car  1977 was a 1970 Ford Country Ford-  the car looked like this.

We just come from  the Diner in Somerville and headed to Bound Brook.  We where in Bound Brook  and had a light.  As we sat there waiting it to turn,  these two girls in the next line stop and where waiting for the light also.  Curt looked and said " whats up Hun"  and she turned around and gave him the finger.  If you could see his face it was the biggest insert of all time. Curt has so broken up about it. I was laughing so hard with tears in my eyes,  that I had to stop  the car until I could stop laughing so hard.  He was so peeved at me for laughing and he didn't see no humor in it at all.  There are so many  stories like that but I can't tell them on line :) Remember the good old drive inn?  *wink wink*  Those where the days.  looking back and remembering those Days is  great -I don't think I want to go back and be a teen again thou.  That car was a work horse and built  like a tank, it could take a beating and  and roomy.  Remember when Gas was 55 cents a gallon? -hard to believe now.   Remember going to discos, Long hair, Bell bottoms and the way we spoke?  Well this is now and we have so much more then we had  in 1970's;  We came a long way since then, but it's always fun remembering the good old days isn't it?

Yes, I like the simpler times myself. All this extra stuff is so stressful!
Too many TV channels, now too many radio stations. Too many movies and magazines.
I cannot keep up with them and blogging! hahaha.
