Chipper Vs Dan
Today I put up a bread parch for the birds. About a hour passed and I'd look out the window, at this fat squirrel standing on my parch, eating my bread that I put out for the birds. I knock on the window to scare him off but he'd just look at me and gave me a dirty look. I went down stairs and outside and tried to scare him off. He just look at me and seemed to say "what's your problem!" I went closer and started to yell and flail my arms around and he'd look at me and took off, up the tree. I proceeded to yell at him and swear at him looking up at him, as he looked down at me and laughing at the whole thing. I fretted him and told him that I was going to make squirrel stew out of him. Then I looked over and seen the person next door was standing there looking at me. she'd saw me yelling at the squirrel and me looking over at her. She turned around and went inside! She must have thought I was a real nut yelling at a squirrel. Maybe I am? The squirrel seem to talk back at me and I am sure he thought I was a nut also. Who got the upper hand? I am not sure who did, But I am sure that's not last time I see Chipper.
There are Bats in the hall!
(the call of the wild)
I don't know what it is but I am being attack all over the place yesterday. I went down stairs for a smoke last night, about round 1:30AM or so and saw this thing flying around in my upstairs hall (or shad) I couldn't tell what it was at first. I watched it for awhile and saw it was a small bat. I grab a 30 gallon garbage bag and tried to lasso it and I also opened the outside door--Hoping it will fly out and go. I didn't want to hurt it, I'd just wanted it to go. My cat (Pepper) was going crazy trying to get it, but one time it got a little close and he took off and hide under the sofa -My big protector hunter!! I think it flew out but I am not sure! I bet the squirrel told him about me and sent him!! They are out to get me! I could see them sitting up in that tree snickering and laughing at me. Plotting against me, Plotting there attack! I had enough of country life and I think it is time for me to go back to the city where I belong!!

For sure, Dan, you've let the rodents get the best of you. It's time to lighten up. And I know those squirrels can be quite persistent- they will foil almost every attempt to block them from a bird feeder. They are very resourceful. But they don't like cats. If your cat has any instincts left, put him out in the yard for a day, and see if he can catch a squirrel. And, you know, squirrel meat is quite tasty. Reminds me, when cooked right, of gopher meat.
